A Portrait of a Journey: My Author Photo Shoot with Park Hill Fine Art Photography

Every once in a while, there are moments that make you pause and realize just how far you've come.

Recently, I had the privilege of working with Park Hill Fine Art Photography for a professional author photo session, and what began as a simple photo shoot quickly became something much more meaningful.

As an author, photographs become part of your story. They appear on book jackets, websites, media interviews, event programs, press materials, and countless other places throughout your career. Finding the right image is about more than looking professional—it's about capturing who you are in a single moment.

I am thrilled to share that we accomplished exactly that.

The session produced a collection of photographs that I know will represent me throughout this chapter of my author journey. We captured a classic author portrait that will be used for future promotional materials, media opportunities, and upcoming projects. More importantly, we captured something authentic.

Of course, no photo shoot would have been complete without my faithful companion, Christopher Chase.

For those who have followed my journey, Christopher Chase has been by my side through some of the most transformative years of my life. He has been there during the writing of Inheritance of Silence, the publication process, book launches, author events, interviews, and every challenge and triumph along the way.

Some of my favorite images from the session are the portraits featuring the two of us together. One photograph captures us looking directly at one another—a simple moment that perfectly reflects the bond we share. It is one of those rare images that speaks without words.

We also captured a wonderful solo portrait of Christopher Chase, who looked every bit as handsome and distinguished as any literary companion should.

As I continue building my author platform, preparing for upcoming events, celebrating the success of Inheritance of Silence, and looking ahead to the publication of House of Windows, I am grateful for opportunities like this that allow me to preserve and celebrate the journey.

A special thank you to Park Hill Fine Art Photography for creating images that feel timeless, personal, and genuine. These photographs are more than promotional materials—they are a snapshot of a remarkable season of life.

I look forward to sharing the finished images with everyone soon.

Until then, thank you for continuing to follow along on this incredible adventure.
