"What happens when the things left unsaid shape an entire lifetime?"
Inheritance of Silence began with a simple realization: silence can be inherited just as easily as love, hope, or tradition. Families often pass down unspoken expectations, unresolved grief, and emotional wounds across generations.
Rather than writing a story about tragedy, I wanted to write about healing.
At its heart, Inheritance of Silence explores generational trauma, identity, forgiveness, found family, and the courage it takes to break cycles that have existed for decades. Chase's journey is one of learning that the past may explain us, but it does not have to define us.
For me, this novel became an exploration of hope—not because healing is easy, but because it is possible.

While Inheritance of Silence explored emotional inheritance, House of Windows asks what happens after healing begins.
The novel examines the walls we build to protect ourselves, the windows through which we cautiously allow others to see us, and the vulnerability required to truly trust another person.
Every character carries invisible rooms inside themselves. Some remain locked. Others slowly open.
This story explores what happens when love asks us to step into the light.

This memoir isn't about pretending life is easy.
It's about discovering that our past does not have to become our permanent address.

I wanted to explore what happens after that final chapter.
