Friends With Possible Upsides

About

COMING SOON: IN DEVELOPMENT

They agreed on three things: friendship, honesty, and absolutely no falling in love. Two out of three isn’t terrible.

When two longtime friends realize that dating has become an exhausting parade of bad decisions, unanswered messages, and men who apparently consider emotional availability a preexisting condition, they arrive at what seems like a perfectly reasonable solution.

Each other.

Not dating. Obviously.

Just friends—with possible upsides.

The rules are simple: no jealousy, no expectations, no awkward conversations about the future, and absolutely nothing that could jeopardize the friendship they already depend on. They get companionship without commitment, intimacy without uncertainty, and sex without having to explain themselves to another stranger over overpriced cocktails.

It is, objectively, an excellent arrangement.

Until it isn’t.

Because somewhere between lazy Sunday mornings, accidental sleepovers, inside jokes, grocery-store arguments, terrible dates with other people, and the increasingly suspicious amount of time they spend pretending they aren’t a couple, the boundaries begin to disappear.

And when friendship becomes the safest place either of them has ever known, they’re forced to confront the one possibility neither included in the arrangement:

Maybe the greatest upside was never supposed to be casual.

Funny, intimate, unapologetically adult, and unexpectedly tender, Friends With Possible Upsides is a contemporary romantic comedy about two men determined to keep things uncomplicated—and the spectacularly complicated consequences of discovering that sometimes the person you’re searching for has already been sleeping on your side of the bed.
